My 1st choice on the career list when i was in primary school was to be a witch with a powerful & magic broom!! Whenever i shared this with my classmates, they looked at me like i was an alien..wahaha.

To date, this is still my number 1 dream job. now with the more enchanced profile - to be equipped with money-making skill. Once i master that marvelous spell, i can quit the 9-5 day job forever and ever..;p

Retrieve our raw material self

The author has highlighted a very interesting point from her daily practice, i.e trace back our very old self which has been long forgotten after we grow up and conform ourselves to the societal norms. On top of our present self, the qualities we used to own when young are the fuels that is essential to help us rekindle our passions and dreams for life. Be it mischievous, carefree, imaginative, wild, playful, naughty, curious, silly..etc etc.

Go retrieve and weave them into our heart and soul. Our 'inner child' will be alive and we are going to have wonder-filled life again very soon. Promise!!

obsess with internet

Just one click away, many activities can be performed through internet which save us a lot ot time, money and troubles.
I can go thru the search engine and obtain a lot of adjectives telling me how a rose smells like, without having troubled to travel to botanical garden and smell it.
When i want some classical music, I can just download directly from website without spending single penny for concert or buying CD.
If I want some inspirations, can just take a look at other people's ideas or work posted online. copy and modify them without cracking my head. and ta da.. i can tell others this is my new idea.
I can even keep a cyber pet instead of a real one. i will not be heart broken and cry like last time, as the cyber one will not die.

Owl's passion

my house is so small that i do not dare dream of having one room to myself as a mini drawing studio, where i can lay out all my drawing tools there. saving the time and hustle of unloading/loading the tools from/into the cabinet. and utimately help me get rid of procastination.

Run for their lives

Curiosity not only can kill cats. It can kill owls too.

These three playful owls have stepped into a haunted wood which has been declared as forbidden ground for all living creatures since hundred years ago. One of them has even stolen an evil yellow egg from the wood. The worst part is that the owls are too fat to outrun those ghosts which can speed much faster than F1 racing cars.

Some random sketches on an owl's life...Despite being nocturnal, she enjoys sun tan. She is curious about every little thing around her which makes her passionate about her life. She always wishes for good dreams and hopes one day she will befriend mice. If possible, she would like to spend her everyday painting without worrying about making ends. ;)

My new journal

Recently i have bought one whole new fabric cover book from Artfriend.

I've decided to make it my small journal which keeps all the nice words and inspirational thoughts from myself, my family, friends, movies or books i have read. All the colours and line work i've and will put into every page represent my determination to be a better and more positive person.

This is the very first page of my journal, recording my intention to stay creative all the times. Like the saying goes: "In Life, I have the power to make what i want & need. What I need, my creativity comes from inside me." - quoted from Kids' sacred places. I want this positive flow keep emerging out from inside me.

It's Friday!!

Today is my day. I feel like a hippo, happily immersing in pool of joy. it's not only because today is friday, it is also because of the closing deal for corporate logo i've designed for my friend's company.
I seldom do logo design and therefore i do not have any relevant portfolio to show my friend and her boss. With our (my hubby's and my) great input of ideas, i have put forth some proposals to them. Initially i thought i might lose the deal due to my quotation being higher than the other designer and my insuficient portfolio. However, after three weeks, they gave me the deal instead. They understand my design philosophy!Today, they have finalised the selection and confirmed with the final design. They even have the namecards printed out with the brand new logo. And, they are going to pay me the design fee too. Hurray!!!
One more thing, my sister's PR application has been approved! Next year, her hubby and her can buy their own house and get settled down finally!
